Supporting the Senior Legal Counsel managing escalated customer complaints as well as litigation in the Circuit and District Courts. Advising, researching and reporting on the dynamic and fast moving legal and regulatory issues that underpin the energy markets. Working with other members of the legal team to keep our precedents updated. Qualifications A professionally qualified lawyer with an Irish practising certificate is required. The responsibilities associated with this position would be suited to an individual with 2 to 4 years of post‑qualification experience; however, BGE welcomes applications from all candidates interested in opportunities at this level. In‑house experience is desirable, but not essential. A background in commercial law including drafting and negotiating contracts. Commercially savvy lawyer with business facing experience of successfully delivering complex and high‑profile matters in a fast‑paced environment. A working knowledge of the energy sector and one or more complementary areas of law, such as consumer or sector regulation, data protection, technology and digital, is also desirable but not essential.
