  • Job Title: Senior Cardiac Physiologist Reports to: Cardiac Services Manager Location:Bon Secours Hospital Dublin Job Purpose To provide a diagnostic cardiology service to Bon Secours Hospital Dublin. Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Cardiac Physiologist will be based in Bon Secours Hospital Dublin. The Cardiology Department carries out a wide range of cardiac investigations that include: Essential: ECGs - Recording/Interpretation and highlighting abnormal findings. Transthoracic echocardiography - scanning & reporting independently to BSE/EACVI/ARDMS standard. Loop-recorder, pacemaker, ICD & Biventricular device-interrogation & follow-up, including home-monitoring & Heart Rhythm Ireland database experience. 24-hour Holter monitoring - Patient hook up and technical downloading/ analysis interpretation. 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring - Patient hook up and analysis of same. Event Recording - Patient hook up and analysis. Desirable: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory to include technical support for Angiograms & percutaneous Coronary Intervention and competence during emergency procedures. Tilt-Table testing. The Cardiac Physiologist will also be expected to carry out the following: Performing the procedure or examination, report and highlight abnormal findings Calibration and routine maintenance of all equipment, which includes sterilisation where necessary History taking and interpretation of requisition forms Participation in patient care, i.e., preparation and reassurance of patient Accurately maintaining patient database and records. To comply with Health and Safety Regulations and ensure safe working practices. Commitment to in-service training of students and physiologists.   • Job Title: Facility Operations Manager Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Reporting to: Head of Facilities Management Purpose of the Role This role exists to ensure that all facility service requirements across the hospital campus and off-site locations are delivered to the highest standards with minimal disruption to patients, staff, and visitors. The Facility Operations Manager will oversee a diverse range of services including waste management, security, car parking, landscaping and groundskeeping, and contract management of off-site facilities. The role will provide operational leadership and direction to both in-house staff and third-party service providers, ensuring services are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory and accreditation standards. The role ensures services are managed effectively on a day-to-day basis while also driving compliance, quality, and value for money across all assigned functions. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS A recognised third-level qualification in facilities management, business management, health & safety, or a related discipline. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS MSc Degree Project Management Lean / Six Sigma ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE Minimum of five years' experience in facilities, estates, or support services management in a healthcare or complex environment. Proven track record of managing daily operations in a multi-service facilities or estates function. Demonstrated experience in contractor management and performance monitoring. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and services. Strong knowledge of compliance standards and accreditation processes relevant to healthcare facilities (e.g., JCI, HIQA). Key Duties and Responsibilities: This Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist is a registered nurse who has extensive experience and clinical expertise in Tissue Viability nursing. The role will encompass a major clinical focus (direct & indirect) comprising of assessment, planning and delivery of patient care that is done in collaboration with medical and other healthcare professionals. The management of patients with tissue viability conditions demands a broad range of professional skills and knowledge, as well as skills in communication, leadership, teaching, education, research and counselling. The Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist will have the expertise and specialist knowledge to incorporate these skills into practice and so develop standards of care that benefit the patient. In so doing, the Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist will embrace the five core concepts of the clinical nurse specialist role to ensure the provision of a high-quality holistic service for the patients in need of the service and to enhance the health status of this patient population. Clinical Focus To provide specialist knowledge, expertise, and care to patients with tissue viability conditions. This will be at a higher level of autonomy and decision-making in patient management as defined by protocols. To monitor patients on an ongoing basis, to evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care practise to ensure optimum co-ordination and delivery of care. To evaluate and develop professional scope of practice through ongoing evaluation and monitoring of the role of the Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist. To participate in team discussions regarding treatment needs as appropriate. Develop and update policies and procedures, which comply with agreed best practices. To establish, implement and evaluate audit programmes of the service, the quality of patient care and the Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist current practice, in line with local and regional developments, to include monitoring and evaluation of educational and health promotion programmes as relevant. To identify areas of practice for evaluation and evaluate current practice and improved methods of care against current peer reviewed research findings. Disseminate research findings to Nursing colleagues, Nurse Managers, and the multidisciplinary team. Use research findings to influence care within the speciality.
