This role will be located in Dublin, Ireland. About The Team Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, Fund Services (Ireland) DAC (‘FSI DAC’), the Legal Entity Risk Director / Senior Vice President will be part of a regional team within the second line of defence overseeing FSI DAC Legal Entity. The Legal Entity Risk Director / Senior Vice President will have regular interactions with the Legal Entity Executive Team to provide independent second line of defence review, challenge, oversight, and advice to the first line of defence and ensure that there is an effective risk management framework embedded across the Legal Entity, and that risks are properly identified, assessed, and mitigated, also contributing to proactive risk management for new initiatives and strategic priorities. Responsibilities Ensures the Entity is compliant to minimum Enterprise Risk Management standards and Risk & Compliance governance. Manages the FSI DAC risk governance cycle, including supporting the CRO with presentation of key risk data, developing narratives in relation to key risks and the ability to contribute to discussion of risks in a committee environment. Provides oversight, review, challenge and advice to the Business and ensure adherence with the LE Risk Management Framework including Risk Appetite, Risk ID, Key Risk Indicators, Operational Risk Events and Business Process Change risk assessments. Participates in and supports Risk & Compliance governance frameworks (e.g., Product / Process change governance), in a manner required by such frameworks, by ensuring that local management, legal and regulatory considerations have been properly considered. Responsible for ensuring that risks have been adequately identified, assessed, managed and reported by the first line of defence taking the Legal Entity perspective into account. Interpreting relevant local regulatory/jurisdictional requirements and advising the first line of defence on such requirements. Advises and guides on how to manage risks, including identification of new and emerging risks, use of sufficient and appropriate controls, remediation of operational risk events and actions to mitigate control gaps. Oversight and proactive engagement with strategic initiatives focusing on risk management solutions that enable safe and sound business growth, making recommendations to reduce implementation risk while ensuring compliance, risk and control documentation and notification of all appropriate representatives and regulators. Client presentations on the role and structure of the LE Risk function as part of regular due diligence reviews, and supports engagement with and response to Internal Audit and Regulatory requests. Skills & Qualifications Education: Preferred secondary/university graduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Experience in financial services, preferably with some experience in Operational Risk (or equivalent Control function), Compliance and/or internal audit, ideally gained at a large bank or financial institution. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify risk trends, patterns, and concentrations and collate, and distil relevant information. Ability to work independently with high productivity in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize competing demands, and proactively manage challenges. Adheres to CBI Fitness and Probity Controlled Function (‘CF’) requirements. Strong interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders across the Three Lines of defence to convey complex issues succinctly. Build relationships with 1LOD and 2LOD colleagues to complete risk tasks, resolve issues, and implement improvements promptly. Familiarity with Operational Risk Management Framework and associated tools (RCSAs, KRIs, OREs) Experience in AI adoption and utilization is preferred.
