  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist

    Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist. Our Renewables Function is currently seeking to recruit an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Newbridge and will report to the Planning Programme Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for to lead the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Appropriate Assessment for number of BnM Renewable Energy infrastructure projects. The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Lead the EIA process for large scale Renewable Energy Projects most importantly the delivery of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report and Appropriate Assessment/Natura Impact Statement for the proposed development; Provide environmental expertise in relation to the delivery of Renewable Energy projects to assist the Planning Team and to inform the Business Unit Strategy to ensure compliance with Planning and Environmental issues; Keep abreast of changes in planning/environmental legislation, policy decisions and updates to national, regional, and local authority development plans to maximise outcomes for the company. Contribute to Company submissions as required; Assist the Stakeholder and Advocacy team with the development of effective project plans for management of communications and consultation with local communities and other relevant stakeholders including statutory and non-statutory consultees; Prepare specifications for third party services for projects as required and fully assist the procurement team in the various stages of associated procurement processes; Ensure that all works carried out under your remit complies with BnM's Health & Safety and Environmental policies and all relevant EU and National policies and statutory requirements.     Production Manager BnM currently has an opening for a has the need for a Production Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Edenderry and will report to the Thermal Plant Manager. The role will be responsible for managing the Operations function of Edenderry/Cushaling generation assets in accordance with owner and customer needs ensuring environmental and health and safety compliance whilst maximising plant performance. The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Management of Renewable Energy portfolio of generating assets to achieve and maximise plant availability and efficiency while achieving BnM's and government renewable targets; Manage and lead the operations of the power plant together ensuring alignment with the Maintenance teams according to the customers instructions ensuring that defined targets are achieved, and the works are carried out safely, economically and within environmental and other design limits of the Plant. When required carry out role of Windfarms Operational controller. Role includes operations planning and reporting, materials logistics and management; Responsible for ensuring that the material management alongside with purchasing and contract management meet the company standards and support all the operations in the company within the agreed budget. Liaise with the compliance and Trading functions to ensure the most financially beneficial position for the assets while maintaining all necessary compliance is met; Play a key role in the implementation of the Renewable Energy Business Management System including co-ordinating interfaces with customer, partners, regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies. Having responsibility for meeting challenging commercial, safety, environmental and quality target; Proactively participate as a member of the operations management team. Develop and implement a resource plan for the operations team to 2030 and beyond. Develop a succession plan for the operations team and ensure associated people development plans are implemented. The role will be based in Bord na Mona Recycling Navan and will report to the Depot Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and operating hook and chain trucks collecting skips from BNM Recycling customers as required. Also includes from time to time the collection of wheelie bin waste from customers, through driving an RCV (refuse collection vehicle) with helpers emptying bins on designated routes. Additionally, the role involves supporting the Finance Operations Manager in driving system and process improvements. The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Oversee daily general ledger operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Manage the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and annual budgets, ensuring they align with organisational goals and financial strategies. Support the team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close processes, and compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
