Overview The Library Media Specialist is responsible for organizing and managing collections of journals, books, magazines, newspapers, electronic documents, and other data resources (i.e. organizing mini lessons, crafts and story time). The work of a Library Media Specialist is for students, teachers and other members of the school community to ensure effective practices in the selection, use, and evaluation of materials that support and enhance the instructional program of the school. Provide the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that the school library program is aligned with the mission, goals, and objectives of the school and school district, and is an integral component of the learning/instructional program.
