    - Longford

    In this role, you will ensure adherence to production/process specifications, report any malfunctions or abnormalities, and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Key Responsibilities Complies with all Safety related procedures and reports damage, incidents, or near misses. Responsible for the day-to-day operation, output, quality, and performance of the relevant production line. Monitors production activities and equipment uptime to meet target outputs while reporting irregularities to the Supervisor. Responsible for all batch documentation and cGMP of each production run and participates in reviewing SOPs. Performs running, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance. Maintains Production line areas in a clean and orderly manner at all times. Coaches and trains team members to guarantee standard work in safety, quality, traceability, and service. Responsible for the timely set up of machines and supporting the update of set-up procedures for improved turnaround times. Actively participate in Lean programs with a focus on line efficiency and waste reduction. Qualifications Leaving Certificate or equivalent required. Willingness to work on 2 or 3 cycle shifts rota. Good written and oral communication skills in English. Skilled in anticipating and troubleshooting problems in a fast-paced environment. Possesses mathematical and mechanical/technical skills with a motivation toward safety and quality. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.     The Mechanical Fitter performs a wide range of activities including the service and repair of Avery Dennison’s machines, equipment, and facilities. This position is essential in supporting production teams by ensuring all equipment and facilities are in top working order to maintain operational efficiency and support increasing levels of site automation. Key Responsibilities This is an on-site role. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on manual and automated equipment, replacing defective components and performing root-cause troubleshooting. Execute preventative maintenance programs for all plant machinery, including robotic systems and automated packaging lines, to ensure minimal downtime. Install and recalibrate functional parts in automated systems, preparing new machines and sensors for production operation. Maintain detailed maintenance logs for all facility activities, utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track equipment performance. Support the automation roadmap by assisting in the installation and repair of electrical power controls, PLC-integrated systems, and pneumatic components. Our facility operates on a two-shift rotation system. Candidates must be available for both cycles: Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Our predictable two-shift rotation is planned well in advance, giving you the clarity you need to manage your personal commitments with ease.
