Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following: Develop and execute the Materials, Procurement, and Logistics strategy in line with AAG’s operational priorities. Lead, develop, and coach the Materials, Stores, and Logistics teams; act as the escalation point for operational challenges. Build strong customer understanding—contracts, business models, priorities—and embed customer‑centric decision‑making. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and R&D. Benchmark against industry best practice and evolving MRO operating models to drive performance. Ensure robust succession planning, capability development, and high leadership standards. Build effective working relationships with Production, Planning, Engineering, Finance, and Quality. Develop strategic supplier partnerships and position AAG as a preferred partner within the industry. Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence at all times. Drive technology adoption, including AI and digital tools, to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency. Deliver all projects on time, within budget, and to required safety and quality standards. Produce clear daily, weekly, and monthly reporting dashboards that support data‑driven decision‑making. Procurement and Commercial Management Lead sourcing, tendering, RFPs, and commercial negotiations across materials, consumables, and logistics. Manage a multi‑million‑euro annual spend and deliver strong commercial value for the company. Oversee key contracts, including freight, materials, consignment, and vendor agreements for aviation products and services. Control spend against budget and achieve annual savings and efficiency targets. Ensure supplier compliance with certification, traceability, regulatory, and audit requirements. Assess and onboard new suppliers, technologies, and commercial models to strengthen resilience, speed, and overall value. Materials, Inventory & Logistics Management Develop world‑class warehouse operations and processes covering receiving, inspection, issuing, picking, quarantine, dispatch, and storage. Understand customer requirements and contractual obligations to enable first‑class service delivery. Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, stock control, cycle counts, and min/max replenishment. Manage internal logistics, transport, customs clearance, and high‑value component control. Optimise warehouse layout, racking, mobility, scanning, and storage systems. Maintain exceptional safety, accuracy, and service‑level performance. Operational Delivery – Maintenance Support Ensure material availability for planned checks, targeting zero material‑related delays. Lead AOG response, shortage recovery, freight escalation, and repair turnaround performance. Provide real‑time status updates on materials and logistics for active and upcoming maintenance inputs. Align procurement and demand forecasting with planned maintenance workloads. Proactively manage inventory and procurement to optimise cash flow, material availability, and customer satisfaction. Drive ERP optimisation and digital procurement tool adoption. Maintain dashboards covering inventory, shortages, repairs, supplier performance, and spend. Lead CI initiatives using root‑cause analysis, Lean tools, and structured pilot trials. Identify, test, and implement innovative tools, automation, and emerging technologies. Governance, Compliance & Safety Ensure full compliance with EASA/CAA/FAA and other aviation regulatory requirements relating to storage, traceability, documentation, and certification. Maintain Health & Safety compliance, ensuring all staff are trained, competent, and audit‑ready. Monitor risk, performance, and audit outcomes; implement corrective and preventive actions where necessary. Perform any additional duties aligned to the Materials & Logistics function as required. Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, materials, or procurement leadership roles, ideally within the aviation, aerospace, or MRO sector. Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams across materials, procurement, stores, and logistics. Demonstrated track record of delivering material availability, on‑time operational support, and cost optimisation in a high‑pressure environment. Strong knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA requirements relating to materials, storage, documentation, traceability, and certification. Hands‑on experience in ERP systems, digital procurement tools, and data‑driven operational management. Significant experience with commercial negotiation, contracts, RFPs, supplier management, and freight/logistics agreements. Experience implementing continuous improvement, Lean methodologies, and process optimisation initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, suppliers, and customers. Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MSc Supply Chain) or equivalent professional certification. Aviation supply chain certifications (e.g., APICS/CPIM/CSCP, IATA, or equivalent). Experience in a regulated, safety‑critical industry with strong governance expectations. Exposure to AI/digital transformation, automation tools, and modern warehouse technologies. Experience supporting or leading large‑scale operational change projects within an MRO or manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Materials Supervisor the job holder is a member of the Materials Department and is responsible for the issue and return of materials and tooling from Stores. The Store-person will also aid in Receiving and Shipping and will perform other duties associated with the role as directed by the Materials Supervisor or the Materials Manager. Duties and responsibilities Issue and return Parts as per Stores procedures. Pick and issue material requisitions and deliver to point of use whilst adhering to agreed delivery times. Ensure stock integrity and accuracy is maintained. Ensure min-max stock thresholds are maintained. Perform cycle counts as required. Maintain 5'S standards by ensuring all Stores areas are neat and tidy Replenish vending machines as per daily schedules. Contribute to the Stores Continuous Improvement Process. Maintain inventory system updates following shipments of serviceable material from AAG or customer stock. Book freight forwarder services to ensure accurate delivery times and economic routings. Be trained in air freight security procedures to maintain AAG’s known consignor designation. Control & administer the AAG scrap process for components scrapped on site. Work towards achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) for the shipping department. Adhere to company policy regarding shipping procedures and relevant sections of M.O.E & S.P.M manuals.
