  • QAQC Engineer

    We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to ensure that quality standards are consistently met across our mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and a strong understanding of quality control practices on M&E projects. Key Responsibilities: Quality Planning: Develop and maintain QA/QC plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and method statements tailored to project-specific scopes. Stage Tagging: Implement and manage stage tagging and hold-point processes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure phased sign-offs. Benchmarking: Lead first-of-a-kind (FOAK) benchmarking activities to establish reference standards for new technologies and systems. Inspections & Walkdowns: Conduct regular site inspections , oversee QA checks, and lead client walkdowns to ensure compliance and sign-off at each stage. Documentation: Maintain all quality records, including checklists, NCRs, punch lists, test reports, and sign-off sheets. Reporting: Provide regular updates on quality performance, issues, and resolutions to project and senior management. Audit & Compliance: Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and codes. Subcontractor Oversight: Review and approve subcontractor QA documentation and ensure their work meets required standards. Continuous Improvement: Incorporate lessons learned into quality systems to continually enhance performance and reliability across projects. Qualifications & Experience: Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline). Demonstrated QA/QC experience on mechanical and electrical construction projects, ideally in renewable energy or decarbonization sectors. Familiarity with first-of-a-kind project delivery, stage tagging, and structured walkdown processes. Working knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, IEC codes, and relevant M&E installation guidelines. Skilled in developing and implementing inspection plans and managing document control workflows. Due to continued growth and expansion, the company is now seeking to recruit a Senior Process Engineer. Position Title: Join our team as a Senior Process Engineer and contribute to the end-to-end development of heating and cooling solutions for industrial and energy projects. This role spans concept to commissioning, with a focus on process design, mechanical design, equipment selection, and system integration with opportunities to work on innovative technologies like heat pumps and thermal storage. Experience with heat pump systems is a strong advantage. The successful candidate will design complex high temperature heat pump systems, and integrate them to the client’s process. This will need acute attention to detail, strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Process Design & Analysis: Perform detailed heat and mass balance calculations for thermal systems and prepare process flow diagrams. Conduct data analysis on process performance to inform design decisions, system optimization, and energy efficiency improvements. Develop process simulation models to evaluate system behaviour and design alternatives. Contribute to the development of P&IDs and control philosophies detailing system operation and logic. 2. Equipment and Piping Design Equipment selection including pumps, heat exchangers, valves (manual, control, safety), thermal stratification tanks, etc. Design piping systems including line sizing, routing, and hydraulic calculations. Apply knowledge of heat pump technology to augment system performance. Sound technical knowledge and proven experience in designing hydraulic distribution systems and integrating heat pump technologies into broader process systems or site-wide thermal networks serving multiple users Prepare technical specifications, review vendor bids, and support procurement processes. Assist with cost estimation, budgeting, and value engineering during design and proposal phases. Evaluate project risks and recommend design alternatives where appropriate. 5.Construction and Commissioning Support: Provide field engineering support during construction, testing, and commissioning. Ensure compliance with design intent and resolve technical issues as they arise. 6. Project & Documentation Coordination: Participate in internal and external project meetings with clients, consultants, and vendors, manage documentation, raise RFIs, and coordinate revisions through the project lifecycle. Qualifications – Education: Bachelor’s (Level 8) or master’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering. Experience: 8+ years of experience in process/system design involving thermal systems. Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and process modelling. Experience with heat pump systems is an advantage.
