  • Asset Reliability & Consultancy Solutions (ARC Solutions) provide consultancy and engineering services focusing on asset management, reliability and maintenance. We work with companies of various sizes across the Pharmaceutical, Bio-Pharmaceutical, Power Generation and Petrochemical industries. We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our team to work in delivering strategic Reliability projects for maintenance and operational support to enhance asset performance management. The Reliability Engineer will work in close partnership with the client team in leading and/or supporting various initiatives within the Reliability space. Key Responsibilities: Analyse Asset Performance: Evaluate operational and asset performance data, utilizing existing reliability tools to identify poorly performing equipment, recurring failures, and opportunities for proactive improvement. Problem-Solving Leadership: Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA) efforts to identify underlying issues, develop solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of corrective actions. Develop Maintenance Strategies: Collaborate with project teams to establish maintenance strategies for new equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance (PM) plans are accurate, resource-efficient, and include necessary materials and elements. Optimize Maintenance Programs: Conduct PM optimization to align maintenance activities with equipment requirements, adjusting frequencies based on past performance, and integrating condition-based and predictive maintenance where appropriate. Leverage CMMS Tools: Use the sites Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP for accessing historical equipment data, updating PM plans, conducting spares assessments, and managing maintenance workflows. Facilitate Stakeholder Communication: Lead periodic reviews with departmental stakeholders to provide updates on operational and asset reliability, emphasizing risk areas and priorities for improvement. Perform Asset Condition Assessments: Conduct condition assessments of critical systems to proactively identify investment needs, mitigating risks and ensuring operational readiness. Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in reliability-focused strategic projects, driving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and promote continuous improvement. Ensure Compliance and Best Practices: Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring maintenance strategies meet applicable standards. Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to maintenance and operational teams to foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement across the organization. Experience & Skills: A relevant 3rd level qualification in Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred (Trade qualified may be considered depending on experience). A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharma / bio-pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in reliability, maintenance and asset management. Proficiency in SAP, FMEA, PMO and RCA tools within a highly regulated operational environment. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Effective organisational and communication skills. Has the ability to balance multiple priorities. Location: The candidate will be expected to be site based at client site in Cork. 1 Day per week remote-working option after 3 months. Rate: This is a contract role, 12 months with likelihood of further extension 50 60 Euro/Hour (DOE)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team to support in delivering a Mechanical Integrity (MI) program and Condition Based Monitoring projects for a multinational client in Cork. The Mechanical Engineer will work in close partnership with the existing Senior MI Engineer onsite to develop and implement an end-to-end MI program. This position is open for Junior or Intermediate Mechanical Engineers (Minimum 1-3 Years) to apply. Key Responsibilities: Support the Mechanical Integrity Program : Support in the development and implementation of the site's Mechanical Integrity (MI) program to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Inspection Planning : Development, Plan, schedule, and coordinate inspections for critical systems and equipment, including pressure vessels, piping systems, tanks, and safety devices, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up. Risk-Based Maintenance Strategies : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk-based maintenance (RBM) strategies, prioritizing equipment and systems based on safety, environmental and business implications. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, repairs, and equipment histories in the site’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP. Compliance Assurance : Ensure all MI-related activities meet Irish & European applicable regulations, while aligning with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and site-specific requirements. Asset Integrity Assessments : Perform regular condition assessments of critical equipment to evaluate defects, corrosion, and overall reliability, providing recommendations for repair or replacement. Collaborate with Reliability Teams : Work closely with reliability engineers to integrate mechanical integrity data into broader reliability programs, supporting efforts to improve equipment lifespan and performance. Support Engineering Projects : Review new projects and modifications to ensure equipment and systems meet MI standards, providing guidance on what equipment is subject to statutory inspections and ensure critical information is gathered. Training and Knowledge Sharing : Provide training to maintenance and operational teams on mechanical integrity requirements, inspection techniques, and best practices. Continuous Improvement Initiatives : Work with the reliability engineering group to identify needs for Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) in relation to critical equipment, leveraging existing CMB programs or exploring the feasibility of new CMB techniques on site. Optimize Maintenance Programs : Support PM optimization to align maintenance activities with equipment requirements, adjusting frequencies based on past performance, and integrating condition-based and predictive maintenance where appropriate. Training and Mentorship : Provide guidance and training to maintenance and operational teams to foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement across the organization. Experience & Skills: A relevant 3rd level qualification in Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 1-3 years of industrial experience (preference in pharma / bio-pharmaceutical industry), with a strong background in reliability, maintenance and asset management. Proficiency with SAP, SI445 and related regulatory standards advantageous. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
