Seasonal Plant Operator - Primary Ingredients Reporting to: Production Manager/Shift Manager Location: Nenagh, Co. Tipperary Business Sector: Ingredients - Primary Ingredients - Panel Room Overview: To train and become proficient in all aspects of running a Powder Plant and associated processes. Responsibilities: Run automated systems including separation/pasteurisation, evaporation and dryer machinery to produce dairy powders. Maximise throughput and quality in line with customer specification. Hourly testing of products to ensure customer specification and targets are achieved. Follow all Arrabawn GMPs / SOPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitary requirements Record results and production parameters to ensure product traceability and HACCP requirements are achieved. Monitor processes and take necessary corrective actions where necessary to maintain production targets. Cleaning in Place (CIP) at appropriate intervals ad maintain good hygiene standards in the plant. Maintain all records for traceability and hygiene. Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and shared areas. To maintain a safe environment, report any accidental discharges and health & safety incidents immediately. Ensure strict adherence to zoning procedures. The role will also require manual handling and lifting duties and may also require fork lift truck driving The successful candidate will be required to work a combination of days, two cycle, three and four cycle rotating shifts. Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess the following: 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar role is desirable Experience with dairy ingredients manufacturing would be a key advantage The ability to operate computer screens and run a manufacturing process Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with experience working with mechanised and/or automated production environment Strong attention to detail and ability to concentrate for long intervals monitoring process via panel room monitors and plant observations Ability to think logically and solve problems to undertake root cause analysis for issues arising from production process Ability to multi-task General PC literacy Hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP), Food handling and Chemical Awareness knowledge High motivation who works well without supervision. Overview: The work of the Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter involves plant and machinery installation, maintenance and repair, replacement of broken or worn parts, adjustment and servicing. The work also involves fabrication of replacement parts using machine tools i.e. lathes, milling machines, grinders etc. Components may have to be repaired or fabricated using welding, brazing, riveting and soldering techniques. Increasingly machines and processes involve integration of computer, electronic and programmable control systems with mechanical/ hydraulic, pneumatic systems e.g. PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), CNC (Computer Numerical Control), Robots and CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing).
