    Laboratory Technician Arkil (Fantane) Tipperary. The Laboratory Technician supports the production of aggregates, concrete and bituminous materials by carrying out laboratory and site testing on raw materials and finished products. The role ensures materials meet company specifications and relevant Irish and European standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out laboratory testing on aggregates, concrete and bituminous materials. Perform routine quality control tests including slump test, cube making, compression tests, block testing, sieve analysis, moisture content, binder content and gradings along with on-site testing for our road pavement crews. Record and report test results accurately in line with company procedures. Work with quarry and asphalt plant teams to maintain product quality and identify any issues. Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with EN standards, company procedures, and health and safety requirements. Maintain laboratory equipment, records, and calibration logs. Collect samples from quarries, asphalt plants, and construction sites and conduct field testing when required. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organisational and record-keeping skills. Ability to interpret and report test results. Good communication and teamwork skills. Qualifications & Experience Experience in aggregates, concrete, asphalt, or construction materials testing is an advantage. Knowledge of EN / ISO testing standards is beneficial.     Arkil (Fantane) Tipperary - Maternity Leave Cover -12 months About the role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant/Bookeeper to join our finance team for a 12 month maternity cover contract. In this role, youll be the safe pair of hands ensuring our financial operations remain seamless while our current team member is away. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records, managing month-end processes, and providing clear insights to the wider business. Key responsibilities: Preparation of accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports. Production of monthly management accounts to trial balance. Collaborate with the Assistant Accountant to ensure accuracy and proper segregation of duties. Manage weekly and monthly KPI dashboard reporting. Oversee accounts payable, including supplier reconciliations. Oversee accounts receivable, third-party invoicing, and credit control. Oversee bank and integrated credit card reconciliations. Manage tax and Revenue submissions via ROS. Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors. Complete balance sheet reconciliations. Liaise regularly with functional leads across departments. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasting. Provide ad hoc financial reports as required. Provide occasional HR and payroll support. Perform other duties as required by the line manager as the role evolves. Skills required: Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.     Fixed term 6 month contact with possibility of leading to permanent Role Overview To operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently to support the delivery of road surfacing materials, ensuring materials are loaded and managed in line with company standards, health & safety regulations, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Operate loading shovel to move, load, and distribute aggregates, asphalt, and other surfacing materials in our quarry. Carry out daily machine checks, routine maintenance, and report any defects or issues promptly. Ensure safe loading of materials in accordance with weight limits and operational procedures. Work closely with site teams to ensure materials are supplied efficiently to trucks, and stockpiles. Maintain a clean and safe working area, ensuring compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies. Assist with general site duties when required, yard organisation, and stock control. Follow site supervisor instructions. Skills & Competencies Competent and experienced in operating a loading shovel. Knowledge of aggregates, asphalt, and surfacing materials desirable. Strong awareness of health & safety, especially around heavy plant. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility and reliability, with a positive attitude to work. Qualifications & Requirements CSCS/QSCS card Previous experience in quarry, or construction environments preferred.
