  • Construction Site Manager  

    - Dublin

    My client is an established construction group working across Ireland in a wide variety of sectors. They will be shortly undertaking a major healthcare project in Dublin where they will be responsible for the delivery of construction & fit out works in a live hospital setting. They are recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to be based full time on site reporting into a Contracts Manager. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of delivering similar healthcare/hospital projects and come with a relevant trade and / or technical qualification. The role will entail: Day to day supervision of site works, labour, sub-contractors Preparation and updating of Project Programmes and tracking of progress Identifying staff/material/plant requirements in good time and ensuring they arrive as programmed Chairing weekly site management and look ahead meetings Attending review and progress meetings with clients representative Communicating and liaising with commercial team on variations, extra works and sub contractor performance. They operate across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, industrial, pharma, educational and hotels, sport & leisure, energy, data centre and residential projects. They have also become a leader in the field of sustainability engineering growing their team annually. To enable this expansion and meet client demand, they are hiring an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to work from their Dublin office. The ideal candidate will have a relevant electrical engineering degree coupled with at least 5-7yrs post qualification experience. You will ideally have worked within a design consultancy and gained experience in Electrical Services design for various construction projects. This is a key hire for this small team where the successful candidate will be expected to progress rapidly. Tutoring and mentoring Junior Engineers, overseeing project & design work You will be proficient in the relevant design packages and assist the Project Manager/Associate Director in the successful delivery of projects from conception to completion.     My client is an established and well respected Mechanical Engineering Contractor working across Ireland on highly technical and complex construction projects. They have an excellent reputation for delivery of quality workmanship and engineering management across the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences sectors. They are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer for an upcoming project in the Limerick region. Ideally you will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree coupled with at least 5-7yrs experience in Pharma/Life Sciences construction. Duties will include; Plan all aspects of the work from initiation through execution and closure for all materials, subcontract work packages and trades requirements Have day-to-day responsibility for managing Health and Safety matters, on the project, and ensure that the Company Safety Management procedures are implemented. Manage and conduct work activities, to ensure the Safety, Health and Welfare at work of employees, client employees, contractors and any other persons affected by BMDs operations. Ensure that Method Statements, Risk Assessments, SPAs and client permits are completed for all tasks, requiring same. Manage the site supervision team, including the engineers and mechanical supervisors. Work with the project scheduler, Engineers and Foremen to develop a constructability report and schedule for the project. Establish subcontractor work scope Liaise with workshops on prefabrication planning and co-ordinate the works including prioritizations, test requirements, and documentation. Generate weekly/monthly progress reports to the client and or their representatives in a timely and professional fashion. Managing QA/QC Engineers. You will lead a team of document controllers and administrators, supporting project delivery teams and maintaining the highest standards of document management throughout the project lifecycle. Skills and Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in document control within the construction or engineering industry, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Proficient in document control platforms such as Asite, Aconex, BIM360 or equivalent. Strong IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulae, linking, and data analysis) and other Office/Google tools.
