    We are currently recruiting for a Chef De Partie to join our team on site at Abbott Ireland Diabetes Care, Lurganboy, Donegal Town Shift Pattern Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:00 Friday 07:00-14:00 Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present food to a high standard. Manage food purchasing and storage, ensuring targets are met in relation to food costs. Ensure supplies are correctly issued, used, and accounted for to carry out stock takes and food rotation procedures. Ensure good records are maintained relating to food production activities and supplier information. Ensure health and safety and food safety standards are maintained and recorded. Flexibility and adaptability to the requirements of the catering service. To lead the daily service of the kitchen, setting staff objectives and tasks, including supervision of staff. Assist the Catering Manager in staff recruitment and selection. To assess employee performance and recognise training needs to assist the Catering Manager. Ensure staff is dressed appropriately at work to satisfy statutory requirements. Ensure all service staff has full knowledge of menu dishes regarding ingredients and cooking methods and can provide this information. Shift pattern: Monday – Saturday, 15 hours per week. Duties And Responsibilities Be ready to serve food within the time assigned by management. Collect trays, put dirty dishes in the dishwasher, wash trays in hot soapy water and wipe trolley. Unload dishwasher and clean filter and dishwasher. Collect jugs from the resident room, wash in hot soapy water and return back to rooms daily. Check fridge and freezer temperatures in the kitchenette. Check pantry for daily supplies, restock containers daily. Make sure before filling and restocking containers are washed in hot soapy water. Clean fridge, microwave, toaster, oven, refill dishwashing liquid, check rinse aid in dishwasher. Check fridges and clean inside and out daily. Defrost freezer as required. Everything in the fridge must be labelled. Wipe down kitchenette cupboards inside and out. Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and kitchenette. Inform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposes. Undertake any other duties as requested. Clean trays and reset for the morning. Clean all tables, chairs and reset tables as needed after and before any daily meals. Help with washing up and setting tables for super. Clean crumbs out of cutlery drawer and bread bin. Look after dining room. Wash tea towels and keep the work area clean and tidy. Setting milk, bread on each table. Setting fresh water and available to residents.
