  • Bid Writer - Republic of Ireland  

    - Cavan

    Role Overview: We are seeking a commercially driven Bid Writer to support the continued growth of our operations across the Republic of Ireland. Based at our Cavan office (Apex), the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality tender responses across public and private sector opportunities. This role will work closely with operational, technical, and commercial teams to secure new contracts within the fire protection, life safety, and security sectors. The position plays a key part in driving structured and sustainable growth within the Irish market. Travel within the Republic of Ireland may be required as part of the role, including attending site visits to support the tender process and ensure a full understanding of scope and operational requirements. Flexibility around working hours may be required, including occasional Public Holiday working where tender deadlines fall outside of standard office hours. Key Responsibilities: The duties below outline the core responsibilities of the Bid Writer. The post-holder will be fully accountable for the quality, accuracy, and timely submission of all bids and associated documentation. This list is not exhaustive and may evolve in line with business needs. Prepare and coordinate the submission of Invitation to Tender (ITT), Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ), and framework responses. Review tender documentation and extract key compliance, pricing, technical, and contractual requirements. Liaise with operations, technical, finance, and compliance teams to gather required information and supporting evidence. Attend site visits where required to understand risk profiles, system scope, and service requirements. Draft clear, structured, and high-scoring written responses aligned with evaluation criteria. Ensure submissions are fully compliant with Irish procurement regulations and client specifications. Manage clarification questions and portal correspondence during live tenders. Maintain and develop a structured bid content library including case studies, policies, CVs, and standard responses. Manage Irish eTenders and other procurement portals, ensuring submissions are completed ahead of deadlines. Support bid/no-bid decision processes and contribute to post-tender debrief reviews. Assist with early-stage mobilisation planning following successful contract awards. Identify opportunities within tender submissions for added value, service expansion, and commercial growth. Experience & Skills Required: Experience in bid writing within construction, fire protection, facilities management, security, or similar sectors is desirable. Understanding of public procurement processes within the Republic of Ireland is advantageous. Excellent written English with strong attention to detail. High level of organisation and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines. Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing structures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience using Irish eTenders or similar procurement platforms is advantageous. Full driving licence required due to travel expectations. Additional Requirements: Based full-time at the Cavan office. Willingness to travel within the Republic of Ireland as required. Your responsibilities will include: Install, commission, and service fire alarms and emergency lighting systems. Perform fault finding and carry out necessary repairs on systems. Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and electronic faults. Complete reports related to all servicing and call-out activities.
