  • Motor Claims Adjuster

What the day will look like Aon Risk Solutions is currently looking for motor claims handler to join our Claims Management Division, managing motor claims for multinational and corporate clients. Reporting to the Technical Claims Manager and part of a team of thirteen professionals, you will be responsible for managing motor claims for clients within a Self-Insured Programme and effectively handle a portfolio of predominantly motor third party and some personal injury claims. Main responsibilities will include: Full 'cradle to grave' motor claims management on behalf of self-insured clients. Managing third party motor property damage claims together with some personal injury claims. Contain claim costs by implementing agreed processes and deploying all supplied resources effectively (e.g. motor assessors, approved repairers, solicitors etc). Development of relationships with key clients. Working with a Claims Administrator to ensure timely response on all new instructions. Effective use and experience of using a diary system to ensure cases are progressed and closed out effectively and efficiently. Interaction with claim executives / claims team leader on management of client reports / statistics and any policy issues arising. Maintain the required standard of all claims systems and files. Comply with all management audit requirements. Carrying out departmental administrative activities as required. Willingness to take on other duties that may arise and are deemed appropriate by Aon management. Skills and experience that will lead to success The ideal candidate should have: A minimum of 2 years' relevant motor claims handling experience. A minimum of CIP qualification (or must be 'Accredited' under the Minimum Competency Requirements and provide evidence of CPD returns with progress towards qualification). Ability to prioritise workloads and deliver on objectives. Have a strong customer focus and a keen eye for detail. Team player and the ability to work on own initiative. Strong analytical skills, with an ability to prioritise effectively and execute within deadlines. Excellent IT skills (proficient in Microsoft applications i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong planning and organisational skills. What the day will look like Work closely with product owner(s), investment analysts and other developers on the requirements, design and delivery of analytics solutions/products for the Investment Consulting domain. Design, develop and maintain database, ETL, analytics and visualization component of the solutions to support scalable analytical reports. Adhere to development/testing standards and processes. Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for on-going improvements, e.g. DAX code optimization, refactoring, performance tuning and bug fixing. Take ownership of assigned tasks and applications and ensure effective operation of business systems through Level 2/3 support of application incidents, code/data fixes, testing & release processes. Track and report on progress to local Lead Developer and Product Owner(s). Leverage capabilities of Aon’s Data Analytics Service Platform and integrate our solutions with data engineering and data analytics tools. How this opportunity is different ACIA’s Wealth Solutions team is currently looking for a Data Engineer to help expand the delivery capabilities of our analytics solutions, which serves the needs of the firm’s clients and investment consultants worldwide. This role provides great exposure to the business, and the opportunity to take part in product development/implementation, training and support. Skills and experience that will lead to success 3 - 7 years’ experience in a Data Engineer role as part of a team. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Strong experience in RDBMS (SQL Server). Good knowledge of OLAP architecture design. Good knowledge in Data Modeling (e.g. Star/snowflake schema, etc). Good experience with Python, C#. Good experience in SQL design & tuning, stored procedures. Good experience in Power BI. Experience in Data Engineering/ETL tools such as Databricks. Experience with Git, Jira, Agile Scrum is a plus.
