Design Evaluation Engineer Location: Limerick, Ireland. The RF Design Evaluation group is part of the RF Semiconductors division within the Aerospace & Defence & Communications business unit. The group works with design, applications and test development teams to develop high‑performance RF and microwave components such as PLL synthesizers, VCOs, LNAs, mixers, modulators, filters and up/down converters. Responsibilities Design evaluation board hardware to interface with test instruments and communicate with the device under test. Develop bench evaluation software to perform measurement sweeps during the device characterisation phase. Identify suitable equipment and develop new measurement methodologies to better aid the evaluation process. Independently evaluate, characterise and troubleshoot mixed‑signal bench setups and test solutions. Compile measurement reports and summaries that can be shared with internal stakeholders and customers. Role Staff Test Development Engineer The Instrumentation Business Unit at Analog Devices is seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer to join our team at ADI\'s European Research Development Centre in Limerick, Ireland. The engineer will work with the new product development team to characterize and test a wide range of high speed and precision signal chain products targeted toward Instrumentation and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) applications. The test development engineer will be part of a project team comprising members from marketing, design, product, assembly, quality, wafer foundry and application engineering to bring a product concept to a released mass production solution. Responsibilities Development of innovative, reliable and efficient probe and test solutions on high-performance mixed-signal ATE platforms for multisite parallel testing of a range of integrated circuit products. Lead the execution of the Test Development Process including the development phases of Silicon Functionality, Sampling, Characterization, Qualification, Yield Analysis and Offshore Production release to manufacturing test sites. Define and develop test methodologies with design engineers; lead creation of test plans and DFT/BIST to maximise test coverage, reduce FFC and improve testability.
