An exciting new opportunity presents itself here in the Aloft Dublin City Hotel as we expand our management team. We are on the lookout for a flexible Senior Duty Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Duty Manager will oversee the running of key functions in the hotel and will be flexible to cover mainly evening shifts. Our hotel consists of 202 bedrooms, our Liberties Conference Suite, a gymnasium, F&B outlets together with our on-site Gastro Pub. Tenters is a true Dublin Gastro Pub nestled in one of the oldest areas of Dublin. The Liberties is full of history and bursting with character. Tenters offers a wide range of own products that are a firm favourite with locals. Key Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Lead Daily Hotel Operations: Provide dynamic oversight of all hotel functions, proactively supporting departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences. Cross-Departmental Coordination: Foster effective collaboration and communication across all teams, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations to drive efficiency and service excellence. Crisis & Issue Management: Respond swiftly and decisively to emergencies, maintenance concerns, and guest issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to guests and staff. Team Leadership & Support: Inspire, mentor, and guide team members, upholding hotel policies and cultivating a culture of outstanding service and professionalism. Staff Training & Development: Oversee and deliver training initiatives that empower staff to excel in their roles, supporting ongoing professional growth Event & Group Coordination: Direct the execution of events, conferences, and group bookings, ensuring every detail aligns with guest expectations and hotel standards. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure the hotel consistently meets and exceeds all health, safety, and quality benchmarks, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Your experience & skills: 2-3 years of experience in a similar hotel operations or duty management role HACCP training required First Aid training preferred Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritise and take initiative during busy periods Proficient in OPERA in addition to other Front Office systems Available to work late shifts as required from the hours (14:30 to 23:00) Fluent in English (Spoken and written) Additional languages beneficial Benefits include: Extensive in-house training and development opportunities.
