  • Corporate Finance Manager

    We are seeking an experienced manager or associate director to join our Corporate Advisory team in our Dublin office. At Goodbody, Managers and ADs play a strong part in the origination and execution of the firm’s advisory engagements. The successful candidate will work closely with Directors on strategic advisory transactions in multiple industry groups, with opportunities to gain significant exposure to sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory, capital markets and capital raising transactions. Key Responsibilities Work directly with Directors in all facets of business, including idea generation, marketing, transaction evaluation, and transaction processing. Develop pitch materials and offering memoranda for M&A & Capital Market transactions, private financings, and other advisory projects. Take a leading role in transaction execution, including due diligence, serving as a primary point of contact for clients/counterparties, and participating in the negotiation of transaction agreements. Direct and manage a wide variety of quantitative analyses, including DCF, LBO, comparable transaction, and accretion/dilution analysis. Monitor relevant transactions, capital market trends, company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and other economic information. Ensure the quality of client deliverables by having a strong attention to detail. Mentor and develop interns, analysts and executives at the firm. Utilise relationships developed while at the firm to source new business opportunities from both existing and target clients. About You: 5+ years of experience at a highly regarded investment bank or accounting firm or M&A / corp dev role with a large company. Demonstrable M&A and/or Capital raising execution experience. Experience managing the day-to-day aspects of client relationships and projects. Ability to operate independently in an environment of rapidly changing priorities. Strong analytical capabilities. About the Treasury Analyst role This position provides the opportunity to gain full exposure to the Goodbody Treasury function. This function is of fundamental importance to the firm to enable trades to settle, deposits to be placed, client asset rules to be followed and to ensure robust Treasury processes are in place to meet existing and expected requirements from a policy, SREP and EBA guidelines expectation. Treasury Analyst accountabilities include: Senior member of the team responsible for ensuring that all client and firm cash is managed efficiently and in accordance with policy and Regulations. Working with the Head of Treasury, CFO and Financial Risk in Goodbody and the Group on liquidity risk enhancements as per EBA and SREP guidelines. Embedding operational processes with outsourced partners. Daily cash flow monitoring and forecasting, the management of client deposit rollovers and working with Pershing on all cash movements. Review of end-to-end Treasury operating model. Mentoring the team, embedding risk oversight and control environment with the Head of Treasury. Client asset adherence - reporting and monitoring. This is a key role in the department and requires oversight of the daily client asset calculations and on-going monitoring of adherence to the client asset rules and coordinating the annual Client asset Examination. Reconciliations – daily responsibility for overseeing all Finance related reconciliations. Overseeing the liquidity risk metrics and monitoring compliance to exposure limits. Working with the team and broader Finance team on living the Goodbody values on a daily basis. Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate should have relevant third level qualifications. The successful candidate will be provided with on the job and formal training as required. Minimum of two years financial services experience with Treasury experience an advantage. Good working knowledge of MS Excel is essential. Due to the high level of spreadsheet-based work in the role an excellent knowledge of Excel would be an advantage: Pivot tables, lookups and knowledge of formulae etc. Ideal Characteristics: Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. What is the Role: The Cyber Defence Risk Analyst will provide expertise and management of IT Risk and Cyber Defence matters. This person will have a background in IT, IT Risk management and Governance, with the technical skills, energy, and enthusiasm to support Technology and Data in carrying out their risk management responsibilities by providing first line oversight on risk management policies, guidelines and best practices and a strong risk assessment capability. In addition, this person would manage certain Cyber Defence inspections and have the capability to assess the impact of upstream and downstream regulation on the function and wider Bank. Key accountabilities: Demonstrating a good understanding of technology & data processes such as IT Service Management, Technology Delivery Lifecycle, Data Quality, Storage and Retention and be confident to assess these processes from a first line risk perspective. Complete relevant aspects of risk-based assessments of Group IT's control environment, to figure out adequacy and effectiveness of controls in place to mitigate risks. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key partners across Technology & Data, acting as a trusted adviser and SME, to support stakeholders in their management of technology risks. Supporting the collation and production of effective standardised technology risk and regulatory reporting to Technology & Data, Business Units, risk committees and Board to enable risk informed decision-making and investment prioritisation. Coordinating the assessment of new regulatory testing, simulations, and corporate requirements that impact the Technology function. What you Will Bring: 5 plus years of IT experience, with experience in a risk, compliance or governance function. Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA or CISSP or similar would be an advantage. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of IT risk management approaches and/or frameworks, with experience of risk analysis in an IT environment. Proven experience and ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders and to communicate to a non-technical audience. Possess strong technical skills and a proven ability to demonstrate a broad understanding of the enterprise technology landscape and all of its component parts.
