  • Alliance Medical are currently recruiting a Radiographer's Assistant to join our radiology team based in Briarhill, Galway. Working hours: 37.5hrs pw, Permanent Contract Shifts can be rostered between 7am and 10pm Monday to Sunday. Key Responsibilities: Verifying the 3 point checks with patients. Assist Radiographers in moving and handling of patients to ensure a safe environment. Prepare the examination rooms for different types of examination, ensuring rooms are kept clean and tidy and stocked with supplies. Administrative and clerical duties include, answering the telephone, booking appointments, photocopying and assisting the reception staff if required. Liaise with fellow healthcare workers and referring clinicians to provide a high quality imaging service to patients. BLS trained; able to manage patients who become acutely unwell whilst in the department, or who suffer adverse contrast reactions. We are seeking an experienced Radiopharmaceutical professional with a passion for quality, innovation and leadership. The successful candidate will oversee our Radiopharmacy manufacturing operations and lead the Radiopharmacy production team. This role offers a full time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent contract. The successful candidate must be available to commence in November for training. Closing date: Friday 19th September 2025 Overall Purpose: Guarantee that radiopharmaceutical products are manufactured, stored, labelled and supplied in conformity with the marketing authorisation, the manufacturing license, and the EU-GMP Guidelines (incl. annexes). Responsible for managing a team of radiochemists, and for the continuous production of PET tracers with early production and distribution times. Duties to Include: Ensure products are manufactured and stored in compliance and that all manufacturing activities are recorded and archived. Approve manufacturing instructions EU-GMP Ch. 4 and ensure their creation, periodic review, update and adherence. Closing date: Friday 19th September 2025 Overall Purpose: Plan, implement, document, monitor and further develop the Quality Assurance (QA) system. Ensure every batch manufactured by Alliance Medical Ireland is tested and certified in compliance with GMP and HPRA guidelines before release to market. Responsible for managing a small team, with early routine production times. Duties to Include: Coordinate and lead all QA activities. Regularly review and adapt QA/QC systems to current science and technology. Translate laws, regulations and guidelines into the QA system. Conduct GMP self-inspections and supplier/contract-lab audits. Ensure quality issues are fully documented, investigated and resolved (change control, deviations, OOS/OOT). Liaise with authorities (e.g. HPRA/EPA) and prepare/host inspections. Batch certification and release per written procedures. Ensure radioactive medicines are supplied only to authorised holders. Ensure retention samples of each batch are kept at least six months beyond expiry, and raw-material samples at least two years after release; define responsibilities contractually if multiple sites are involved.
