Roles and Responsibilities This candidate will manage the team in providing high-quality financial insights and operational support across a diverse range of industries including Technology, Retail, Engineering, Hospitality and more. Key responsibilities include the following.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports, focused on delivering data-driven financial insights to clients
Input & analyse large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and performance opportunities
Liaise with external accountants/auditors to deliver annual accounts
Assist in preparing & submitting Revenue returns incl. VAT & related compliance reporting
Lead client budgeting and forecasting activities
Provide consultancy and gap analysis services to clients on a project basis
Support the effective management of the payroll function in line with our payroll management system
Engage in the development and implementation of company strategic and operational plans
Promote the business and identify, pursue, and secure new client opportunities to support growth
Ensure compliance with internal/external controls and legislative changes
Act as the point of contact for all staff, providing support for effective business delivery
Manage the company-wide deliverables and priorities via our project management system
Promote a collaborative and supportive team environment to ensure maximum productivity
Manage team members goals, competencies and ongoing training needs
Report to the CEO on employee performance, client deliverables and quality metrics
Support staff recruitment, induction and training
Provide cover when other team members are absent
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role, as required
Requirements
A degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or equivalent experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Experience as a manager or mentor within a team
Ability to deal with sensitive matters professionally and confidentially
Ability to work flexibly, take initiative and work to tight deadlines
Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel (essential)
Experience producing management accounts / month end reporting (desirable)
Experience with SQL coding or BI dashboards like Power BI, Tableau (desirable)
