Care Assistant (ID) South Dublin 3Q Recruitment is seeking compassionate and motivated Care Assistants to join a well-established voluntary organisation providing person-centred services to adults with intellectual disabilities across South Dublin. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Full-time: 39 hours per week Part-time: 19.5 hours per week The Role As a Care Assistant, you will work in a structured residential and community-based environment, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism through a person-centred approach. You will play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion in daily life. Key Responsibilities Deliver person-centred care in line with individual support plans Support daily living activities, personal care, and hygiene standards Assist individuals in accessing community services, education, and social activities Promote independence, choice, and active participation Encourage social inclusion and relationship building Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent, high-quality care Maintain accurate records in line with HIQA and organisational standards Follow all health and safety, safeguarding, and compliance procedures Requirements FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, Social Care, or relevant discipline (all 8 modules) Knowledge of the Health Act 2007 and HIQA standards Full, clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Understanding of person-centred care and individualised supports Flexibility to work across residential services and shift patterns Commitment to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and autism Two satisfactory references Desirable: Minimum one years experience in disability services Experience supporting individuals with autism Mandatory: Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
