Westmeath. Purpose of the role: As an OpenEdge Software Developer, you will work closely with project management, business analysts, and development resources to deliver robust software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver and maintain a range of in-house applications developed using OpenEdge technology. Weekend, evening, and night shifts are required on a rotational basis. Job Responsibilities: Deliver and maintain in-house applications built with OpenEdge technology. Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle. Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Work effectively within a team, focusing on continuous improvement and learning. Ensure designs adhere to specifications. Provide support for existing applications in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Provide 1st line support Assist the business in troubleshooting application and data issues. Regularly review existing systems and applications for performance, security, and scalability. Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, patches, and data integrity checks. Identify and implement improvements to existing OpenEdge systems to enhance efficiency and reliability. The ability to communicate appropriately and effectively in a number of different environments, ranging from peer to peer office based discussions, to disciplinary hearings. Strong computer skills, in particular Microsoft Excel. The ability to create and maintain accurate HR records. Flexibility with regard to working hours is required.
