Tasks The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing logistics operations to support a fast‑paced eCommerce environment. This includes overseeing warehousing, transportation, 3PL partnerships, returns management, and last‑mile delivery. The role ensures efficient and customer‑centric fulfilment operations that support scalable business growth and meet evolving consumer expectations. Key Responsibilities eCommerce Logistics Operations Manage daily logistics functions including inbound shipments, order fulfilment, outbound shipping, and reverse logistics. Ensure fast, accurate, and cost‑effective delivery solutions across direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) channels. Implement and monitor logistics KPIs including order accuracy, delivery times, and return rates. 3PL and Carrier Management Oversee relationships with third‑party logistics (3PL) partners and shipping carriers to ensure high performance and scalability. Evaluate and negotiate service contracts and carrier rates to optimize cost and delivery timelines. Troubleshoot delivery issues and proactively manage service disruptions. Warehouse & Fulfilment Oversight Coordinate with warehouse teams or outsourced fulfilment centres to ensure timely and accurate order processing. Drive inventory accuracy and minimise shrinkage through improved processes and audits. Implement best practices in warehouse layout, pick/pack operations, and shipping workflows. Technology & Process Improvement Utilise WMS, TMS, and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, ERP systems) to streamline logistics operations. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend technology‑based solutions to improve scalability and performance. Reporting & Analysis Track and report logistics KPIs to support data‑driven decision‑making. Analyse shipping costs, delivery performance, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with finance, operations, and customer service teams to align logistics with company goals. Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, with at least 2 years in eCommerce logistics. Experience managing 3PL providers, shipping carriers, and order fulfilment in a DTC environment. Familiarity with logistics software, eCommerce platforms, and warehouse automation tools. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong organisational and leadership skills. Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration. Analytical mindset with problem‑solving capabilities. Tasks Core Pillars: Strategic Insight, Analytics, Consultancy, New Business Deliver on-going strategic insights for key clients including but not limited to Wella, Edgewell, PZ Cussons & Optibac Probiotics Support delivery of Tambo Consultancy projects supported by Tambo subject experts and Associate Director In line with the above point, help to conduct category, brand & consumer reviews utilising our own proprietary data & technology and 3P tools. Delve into a brands performance and review their close competitors in detail to build context to support their current status. Become a Tambo Compass expert, supporting internal teams and key clients with insight pulled directly from our tool. Become an Amazon Marketing Cloud expert. Particularly with regards to the insights generated by our AMC section in Tambo Compass. Occasionally, collaborate on New Business pitches, supporting strategic analysis & narrative. Collaborate with our Technology & Consultancy team to develop & improve our analytics based proposition. Requirements Strong analytical background with experience interpreting data, generating insights, and presenting findings clearly. Proven ability to assess client performance across retail, advertising, and digital channels, identifying impactful actions. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn and improve processes. Capable of working independently and collaboratively with all levels of an organisation to meet client needs. Demonstrated track record in driving growth and delivering measurable business results.
