Accountabilities Install and align machinery and equipment, ensuring they function correctly and safely. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machines and equipment. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and rectify defects or malfunctions in machinery or equipment. Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that safety precautions are taken during all activities, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Handle and store materials and components safely and efficiently, maintaining inventory and tracking usage. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to discuss progress, challenges, and potential improvements in the process. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery or equipment, proposing and implementing effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including details of assemblies, repairs, and maintenance activities. Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and techniques related to electric, and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge. An electrician role is crucial in ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and equipment, ultimately contributing to the efficiency and productivity of the organization Participate in a weekend on-call rota as required. Requirements Applicants must have at least 2 years’ experience following successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship Prior experience of working on large industrial sites An interest in mechanical equipment and some experience maintaining and reacting to mechanical breakdowns is essential. MEWP experience not essential but would be advantageous Strong knowledge of the installation process, and troubleshooting electrical systems including installing conduit and wirings, motors, instrumentation, recording devices, starters and temporary wiring setups Considerable knowledge of electrical and electronic devices, such as circuits, switches, breakers, wiring, and of safety precautions and hazards related to electricity Full driving licence and own transport an advantage but not essential.     About The Role Our team at Spanners Ltd. are currently looking for a qualified LCV/HGV CVR Tester with relevant certificates from the RSA for our state‑of‑the‑art Test Centre in Ballymount Dublin 12. Or a mechanic holding a Senior Trade Certificate/National Craft Certificate to at least FETAC Level 6 in the skill area of LCV, HGV willing to train as a tester. You will be required to conduct all aspects of CVR Testing for LCV and HGV Vehicles. Key Responsibilities & Duties To conduct vehicle tests, keeping up to date with current CVRT/RSA legislation, training and standards. To communicate directly with customers the results of a test on their vehicle and explain/show on the vehicle where required. To ensure that all work is carried out to the highest possible standard and that customers are treated with courtesy at all times. Report equipment / facility faults to the Test Centre Manager. Now let us tell you about the role: Irish Packaging Recycling (IPR) has an exciting opportunity for a General Operative with Forklift experience. This is a permanent role with a competitive package on offer. IPR operates the largest materials recovery facility in Ireland, processing 50% of all recycling produced by households in Dublin. We are seeking a General Operative with Forklift experience. The role is required for our morning shift starting at 07:00 Monday to Friday, and you are assured 40 hours per week with opportunities to work overtime at premium rates. Starting times may vary based on time of year and how busy the period is. General scope To follow specific instructions from the Site Manager and his deputy at all times. To ensure that prior to commencement of shift the areas surrounding the feeder belt and picking platform are free from foreign objects and debris. To work on the picking line and pick off recyclable materials as per company or site objectives and targets. Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner when required. To offer support to the other operatives as and when required. To support the Site Foreman as and when required by him. To clean down your working area at the end of each shift. Health and Safety To follow all Health and Safety guidelines and instructions at all times. Ensure that you are correctly attired with PPE at all times. To communicate immediately any hazards which you identify to the Site Manager. Smoking only in the designated smoking area.
