  • Head of Corporate Information Security (m/f/d) About The Job Corporate Information Security (CIS) is the core department and central driver for Information Security Governance in Allianz Technology SE. The division is tasked to continue evolving a strong security organization, establishing global security solutions and countermeasures, and overseeing the effectiveness and guiding the implementation of security controls. The CIS function at Allianz Technology helps to protect the organization’s digital assets, maintain customer trust, and support business continuity. The Head of Corporate Information Security is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s information security governance, service assurance, and enterprise security architecture. This executive role involves leading a global team, managing complex IS and transformation projects, and engaging with senior stakeholders to drive the evolution of a high‑performing security organization. The role reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and collaborates closely with other safeguarding functions. What You Do Lead and develop a globally distributed Information Security organization, ensuring alignment with Allianz Technology’s strategic objectives. Oversee Information Security Governance, IS Service Assurance, and Enterprise Security Architecture, driving continuous improvement and transformation. Establish and manage capability hubs, enhancing functions such as Application Security, IS Supplier Management, and Information Risk Management. Scale and mature assurance processes, maintaining and expanding ISO 27001 certification scope. Engage with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on security initiatives. Foster a culture of security awareness and resilience across the organization, promoting best practices and continuous learning. Collaborate with other expert functions including Data Privacy, Risk, Protection & Resilience, Legal & Compliance to ensure comprehensive security coverage. What You Bring Multi‑year professional experience (8+ years) in different areas of Information Security, IT/IS risk management, or other safeguarding functions, preferably in the financial industry. Proven track record in building and leading high‑performing Information Security teams and managing complex IT projects. Strong leadership experience in diverse, multicultural, and distributed teams, with extensive team‑building and recruitment expertise. Good understanding of Service Management and supplier relationships. Knowledge of regulatory environment and standards like COBIT 2019, COSO, ISO27xxx, ISAE/SOC, and European IT and Privacy regulation such as DORA, NIS, and GDPR. Knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use. High level of independence and assertiveness; strong communication and conflict management skills. Proficient in English; excellent international communication skills; experience from working in international business environments; working knowledge of German or another European language would be a plus. As a Risk & Security Expert, you will oversee the execution of information security projects across our global organization, manage complex security initiatives, and ensure compliance with global standards. What You Do Lead and manage global information security projects, ensuring compliance with Allianz Technology standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee comprehensive program/project management, including defining milestones, success criteria, resource allocation, and progress monitoring. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders within CIS, safeguarding functions, and business units to ensure seamless alignment and execution of project plans. Provide information security consulting and liaison with relevant stakeholders (e.g., IT, other safeguarding functions, other Allianz organizational entities). What You Bring 5+ years of experience in Information Security or related fields with a university degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated success in managing Information Security or IT projects within complex global enterprise environments. Track record in managing functional communities based on excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong understanding of European regulatory requirements in the insurance sector, including VAIT, DORA, NIS2. Agile mindset with practical experience in agile methodologies; ability to cope with high workload and exercise high levels of independence, judgment, and initiative. Expertise in Information Security technologies, architecture, and processes, including information security management systems and relevant industry standards (ISO270xx, COBIT5/2019). Certifications such as CISM, CISA, CISSP are a plus. Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus. Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
